Hello! My name is Kate Mallinder and I’m a children’s writer. I particularly like writing for children in Key Stages 2 and 3 (that’s ages 8 to 14). My debut novel for teens is Summer of No Regrets and my latest Asking for a Friend is out now! Both are feel-good and about friendship and finding your place in the world. Cue the cheering!
I also write short stories, flash fiction and short plays, although these tend to be for adults. My Alan Bennett style monologue called ‘Looking for Love’ was made into a film. To see it, go to my Carpe Diem blog.
My work is represented by Hannah Sheppard (DHH Literary Agency) and to read about the exciting time when I signed with her, go to this blog.
I’m proud to be a member of SoA, SCBWI and Ashby Writer’s Club.
